Jacob PRILLAMAN. Born in 1721. Jacob died in 1796; he was 75.
Jacob Prilliman paid tax on 2 horses and 9 cattle in the 1782 Henry County,
Virginia Personal Property Tax List. In 1786, his residence was now considered
to be part of Franklin County and he was taxed on 3 horses and 10 cattle.
Jacob was the first known Prillaman in VA. His surname had variant spellings including
Pryliman & Priliman in MD records; and Brilleman, Brilliman, Bruhlmann, Brillaman,
Brillamon, Brilemon, Brillemon, Pillemon, Prillemon, Prilemon, Prillimon, Prittaman,
and Pruhlman on land deeds, other documents, and tombstones.
