Died. -- Mrs. Polly Draper

   December 27, 1902 at her home near Dyer's Store, Henry County of heart disease, with which she has suffered for several month's. Could the attention of kind friends and loving children or good medical attention have warded death off we would still have her among us. Her husband, E. B. Draper, preceeded her to the grave only by seven weeks, and she declined very rapidly since his death. A warmer heart is seldom implanted in the bosom of anyone than Mrs. Draper possessed. She was ever ready to administer to the wants of the needy or distressed. She leaves four children and a host of friends to mourn her death. Her remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground. She was born May 10, 1832, making her stay on earth 70 yeas, seven months and fourteen days. A FRIEND

Death pf Mrs. Draper

    Mrs. Polly Eggleton Draper, widow of the late Elkanah B. Draper, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. A. Prilliman, near Dyers Store, aged 70 years, 7 months, and 16 days.
     The funeral took place at the residence Sunday, Elders William Minter and Z. T. Turner conducting the funeral ceremony. She was buried in the family burying ground on the premises by the side of her husband and father. She was a daughter of Michael and Eliza Eggleton, and was born on the 8th day of May 1832. Mrs Draper was a lifelong member of the Primitive Baptist Church and was an estimable Chrisitian woman, a good neighbor, a kind friend and alway helpful to the needy. She was warm hearted and generous and was beloved by all her neighbors. She is survived by four children - three daughters, Mrs. P. A. Prilliman, Mrs. R. F. Morrison and Mrs. R. A. Prunty and one son, Mr. M. E. Draper.
